The Review
Ninja is a very popular brand in the world of blenders and they have produced plenty of impressive models, so we were fairly certain that we were going to be pleased with this one. Although there are a couple of issues which we will get to later in the review, for the most part we were really happy with it.
A Design with a Difference
First of all, let’s take a quick look at the design. This one is actually a little different to most of the other blenders that we have tested before. The bullet style jug is the same, but on the base you will find an array of buttons which allow you to access the intelligent programmes.
In terms of design, we were quite happy. However, we did feel that it would perhaps look a little better with an LCD screen for the controls instead of the buttons, but this definitely doesn’t affect the performance. It is a little heavy at 4.58kg, but even this is quite lightweight compared to some of the others that we have tested.
There were a lot of things that we really liked about the design of this blender. First of all, we loved the selection of pre-set programmes. We tested all of them out and were able to create all kinds of juices, soups and smoothies as well as many other things too. The 1500W motor is very powerful and the strong stainless steel blades didn’t struggle to crush anything that we fed into the blender.
Create the Perfect Consistency with the Adjustable Speed
Something else that we liked about this model is that it has an adjustable speed. With this we were able to vary the consistency of the foods that we were blending massively. There were, however, a couple of things that we didn’t really like. First of all, we felt that the capacity was a little small at only 1L
Secondly, we found that the motor was very noisy and that it would probably disturb people if it was used in the morning before work, for example. Aside from these few negative points, we were really satisfied with the Ninja Duo 2-in-1. As a nice bonus you get a 12 month warranty so you are fully protected if you have any issues with your blender.
